Veterans surprised with cars, home by Mazda and Chase!
At the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Sept. 10, during Military Appreciation Day, three injured U.S. veterans and their families were given a surprise of a lifetime in the form of brand new cars from Mazda, and a mortgage-free home courtesy of Chase.
Army Specialist Alberto Diaz, his wife, Kayla and their two children were recipients of a new Mazda car, as were Marine Corps Lance Corporal Arturo Weber, his wife Mary My-Trinh Tran and daughter. Both families had already been notified that they will each receive a mortgage-free home from Building Homes for Heroes, courtesy of Chase, in Orange Park, Florida and Hawthorne, California, respectively. The families will receive their homes later this year.
Army Sergeant First Class Mitchell Mellot, his wife Brandi and their children were surprised by Chase when he learned they, too, will be the recipients of a mortgage-free home in Hesperia, California.
All three veterans have been awarded the Purple Heart for being injured in combat.
Building Homes for Heroes thanks Mazda and Chase for this wonderful collaboration, and for their amazing display of appreciation for our nation’s veterans.
